Sunday, November 12th 10 am - 12 pm
Alexander Dawson School, Room 307
This student led workshop, held by Dawson alum, Josh Weidenfeld will help students understand the concept of social entrepreneurship. This is a unique Connections Event because it was thought up by a student and brought to DCB to see if he could enact his vision. Josh will teach the students the basics of business and marketing. He will also have them think about social issues they are concerned with in the valley, and find a charity the Bounders would like to donate to. Then, students will come up with a concept or product to try and produce and market to consumers, with any proceeds going to the charity of their choice. It is an experiment, and would be an ongoing event if they choose to create a product. We hope that this could be an avenue for our Bounders to become agents of change in our community.
** Space is limited to 15 Bounders. By signing up, you are not guaranteed a spot in the workshop. You will be notified via email on the status of your registration. If your child has accepted a spot and cannot attend, please make sure to contact DCB ASAP so your student's spot can be offered to someone else.
